Looking after yourself before shoot day
Simple habits in the days before a shoot that help you look and feel your best.
You do not need a complicated routine to look your best. Enough sleep, plenty of water and avoiding anything new before a shoot make more difference than any expensive product.
Three days before
- Do not try any new skin or hair products.
- Do not change your haircut or colour without telling the client.
- Cut down on very salty and sugary food.
The night before
- Go to bed early and get at least seven hours.
- Pack your bag, outfits and documents.
- Check tomorrow's schedule, the address and how you will get there.
On the morning
Have a light breakfast and arrive with a clean face and freshly washed hair unless told otherwise; hair and make-up artists prefer to start from scratch.
If you are allergic to any product or ingredient, tell the make-up artist before they start.
